It looks like one of the top recruits from the state of Georgia won't be staying there very long.

On Saturday afternoon, four-star 2019 linebacker Charles Thomas (6-foot-0, 222 pounds, Fairburn, Ga.) announced that he would be heading up north by committing to play for Michigan.
Thomas also had offers from Clemson, Maryland, and Tennessee, among others.
Despite being a 2019 recruit, Thomas will actually be heading out of Georgia sooner than that; Thomas is set to enroll at the IMG Academy in Florida, where he will become a part of that powerhouse program. With that, Thomas becomes another member of IMG that Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh has been able to lure up north.
Thomas is Michigan's first commitment for the 2019 recruiting class.
