LSU sticks it to Tom Herman yet again on National Signing Day

That's a huge get!

Five-star defensive end K'Lavon Chaisson at his position passed up on an offer from hometown Texas and Florida to land at LSU, per Scout.

"He said I (Orgeron) didn't come to Houston to wake up at 4 in the morning to follow you to the airport to have you sit on the bench," Chaisson told Tiger Blitz via text last week. "I'm recruiting you to play right away. It was great."

Chaisson, a 6'4", 220 pound recruit, is the nation's No. 4 weakside defensive end and the No. 5-ranked overall prospect in the state of Texas for the class of 2017, according to 247Sports composite rankings.

Chaisson's list of suitors is long, but he was considered arguably the most important remaining recruit for Texas head coach Tom Herman and defensive coordinator Tom Orlando, who's reportedly targeting pass rushers for his 3-4 defense.

His scholarship offers also include Baylor, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan, Oklahoma and Texas A&M.

LSU kept defensive coordinator Dave Aranda away from Texas after Tom Herman landed the job and the Tigers have been able to pull at least one other recruit from the Longhorns. The bad blood likely won't be halting anytime soon.
