It looks like Lamar Jackson will have a huge target to throw to next season.
Three-star tight end Kemari Averett (6-foot-7, 240 pounds, Atlanta, GA) will likely be heading to Louisville next season, as 247Sports reported that Averett had committed to the Cardinals.
Averett is a big addition to Louisville's 2017 class... literally. The 6-foot-7, 240 pound tight end already has the size needed at the position, and the dynamic Jackson at quarterback for the Cardinals will likely love to have a target this big to help the offense.
Of course, Averett won't have to get used to playing with a dynamic quarterback. His current quarterback at his high school is none other than Caylin Newton — little brother of NFL MVP Cam Newton.
Averett is the eighth commitment for Louisville's 2017 recruiting class.
