Teh'ron Fuller, a football player for Appalachian State University, is recovering after being stabbed twice in the back during an off-campus incident, according to several media reports.

The Winston-Salem Journal, quoting a news release from the Boone Police Department, said an altercation started outside of an area bar and continued in a parking lot. Fuller was stabbed during the altercation.
Fuller was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, where he's in good condition.
The university and is teammates offered their prayers.

Police have picked up a suspect in the case , but there are few details.

The 6-foot-2, 230-pound Fuller, a linebacker, made 21 tackles and had three sacks in 13 appearances as a reserve last season.
