It has been eight months since the Clemson Tigers embarrassed the Ohio State Buckeyes in the College Football Playoff. The 31-0 blowout has been dissected from every angle in the aftermath of the memorable performance from the eventual champions but, in the 2017 season opener, the Clemson band reminded everyone of just how noteworthy it was.
In short, the Tigers' band took the opportunity to remind Ohio State fans (and those across the country) of their team's dominance during halftime against Kent State.
It takes some gall to roll this out all these months later but there is also an aspect of confidence to go ahead and send this message yet again.
Clemson had very little troubling pulling away from Kent State on the field which, thankfully, allowed the band's gesture to stand on its own while there was little national attention on the second half of the opener. Fans in Columbus won't like being reminded of their nationally televised downfall but those who enjoy a good ribbing will certainly appreciate this one a great deal.
