Clemson has one major target left on its recruiting big board for 2016 in linebacker Rahshaun Smith. He's a five-star prospect at the IMG Academy and gave TigerNet a rare interview while he was on his visit this past weekend for the FSU game.
"It was definitely a good visit. It's always a good time going to Clemson. There's a lot of love there. You definitely feel like you're at home. The fans know me. The coaches always show love when I go. The game atmosphere was second to none. It was pretty loud the whole game. The defense did a good job of stopping Dalvin Cook. It definitely left a good impression and I could see myself there."
Smith also said he was watching linebackers Ben Boulware and B.J. Goodson during the game and he even showed off some knowledge of the Clemson defense. He called Boulware "one of the top linebackers" in the country because of his effort and because he made up for some bad plays in the first half with some much better ones in the second.
The five-star recruit also talked about rubbing the rock and running down the hill and how awesome the students were cheering his name and making him feel like family. It's starting to sound like Smith is favoring the Tigers and February can't come soon enough!
