The transfer market, at least for the most part, has settled down in the college football world but there will be a new name available and it is a wildly intriguing one. David Hood of TigerNet.com brings word that Clemson senior defensvie back Korrin Wiggins will transfer away from the program and that he will be free to transfer anywhere outside of Clemson's 2017 schedule.
The news of Wiggins' release from the program broke on Thursday and the soon-to-be graduate expressed his thoughts in this way:
"I will be graduating in May and have decided to transfer to play my last year of college football. I met with the coaches, and they informed me that the team was going in an another direction and I am not going to be part of that plan. With that information, I made the best decision for me and my future."
It is not immediately clear what that "direction" is for Clemson, but Wiggins was once a member of the starting secondary for the Tigers and he will be eligible immediately as a graduate transfer. While the veteran wasn't fully healthy last season, teams will likely be lining up to check in with regard to his next stop.
