Clemson names offensive coordinator, hint it's two people

After Clemson offensive coordinator Chad Morris bolted for his home state of Texas and for SMU, Clemson needed to find someone to fill his position. The Tigers wasted no time in naming co-offensive coordinators in Tony Elliott and Jeff Scott. Both are former Tigers and were wide receivers. Elliott is finishing his fourth season as running backs coach while Scott has been with head coach Dabo Swinney his entire time at Clemson and has been the wide receivers coach. Swinney announced the promotions.

"One of my overall philosophies is to promote from within when it is feasible. Both of these coaches are highly qualified and ready for this opportunity. We have been prepared to make this staff move for some time. Tony and Jeff were teammates at Clemson at the same position for three years and have worked together as coaches for four. They have a great relationship.

Having two guys coordinating the offense should be interesting, but the two have been teammates before and have worked together the last four years so there shouldn't be any issues with play calling.
