Clemson to lose defensive end to transfer

I hope he finds a good spot to land.

Clemson redshirt sophomore Dane Rogers has decided to transfer out of the program to find playing time elsewhere. He redshirted in 2013 so he didn't get any playing time. He was a reserve defensive end in 2014 and played in seven games in 2015. He recorded only two tackles.

"He (Rogers) has decided he wants to finish up here this spring and transfer, probably to a 1AA school," Swinney said. "I certainly have no problem with that. That is a decision that he has made and I support him in that."

If he does decide to go to a school below the FBS level he would be eligible to play immediately.
