Dabo Swinney certainly wasn't wrong when he said that after today's 41-0 win against NC State. It was a dominant performance by his Tiger squad and the most complete game we've seen from them all season.

Coach Swinney: “Offensively we put it all together. We were able to have the balance. They really didn’t have any answers.” #NCSTvsCLEM

But of course this game was still about freshman quarterback Deshaun Watson playing some of the best football Swinney has seen.
Coach Swinney on Deshaun Watson: “It’s just amazing to see where he is right now 5 games into his college career.”

And Swinney says today might have been some of Watson's best stuff he's seen.
Swinney: Deshaun played a better game today than last week. Patient runner and a lot of gamesmanship to him that's special.

Watson and the Tigers were so good, most of the second stringers were in the game by the end of the third quarter. Those guys on defense held together the shutout and for that, Swinney is extremely satisfied.
Swinney: The shutout is huge. Really proud of that and great momentum for our defense.

With the defense getting some momentum behind it, this team might be able to really compete for something this month and next according to Swinney.
Swinney: There's a lot out there for this team. A lot of crazy things can happen in October/November. Guys have bought in a game at a time.

The Tigers host Louisville next weekend.
