Deshaun Watson had a pretty great game against Alabama in the National Championship Game. He went for 405 passing yards and four touchdowns with 73 rushing yards. That amount of passing yards put him in elite company with the likes of a former Heisman winner.

He also had the most total yards for a QB in a championship game, surpassing Vince Young from that same game.

Leinart had 365 passing yards in that memorable championship game in 2006 against Vince Young —- who had 467 total yards —- and the Longhorns. The No. 2 Longhorns won that game much like the second-ranked Crimson Tide did to the Tigers on Monday night. However, Watson still has to play one more year before he heads to the NFL and so we can expect him to get even better and maybe repeat a legendary performance over the course of the season like he did this year.
