All of the offensive players have gone through their NFL Combine testing and that means college football analyst Bruce Feldman is giving out his thoughts on the guys who helped themselves and the ones who hurt themselves. One of the guys he feels really helped himself —- despite already being highly thought of —- was quarterback Deshaun Watson.

Watson decided to throw at the Combine and it looks like that decision has paid off and the fact he came in bigger than people expected. Feldman explains it all in his article as he says that Watson is now "the safest" top 10 picks as far as the QB group goes.
From Feldman:
He showed up bigger than some probably thought at 6-2, 221. That's sturdy for a guy who had been in the 6-2, 205-210 range early on in his career at Clemson. By far the most successful college QB in this crop also was the most impressive passer, according to several observers we spoke with after Saturday's workout. For my money, Watson is the safest Top 10 pick of all the quarterbacks in this group, and I feel like he helped that relative to Mitch Trubisky and DeShone Kizer.
Watson measured similarly to Trubisky in height and weight so concerns over him not being able to take an NFL beating are out the window now and apparently he showed enough arm talent and consistency to allay any issues people had with his inconsistency throwing downfield. Watson is still projected as a first-round pick by most people, but how high on Day One he might go remains to be seen, but it sounds like his chances at going top 10 are looking better.
