If this stat holds true, a major upset is in store for Week 4 of college football

This doesn't bode well for one Top 5 team.

Thursday night games are already scary enough for ranked teams, but this stat should make No. 5 Clemson fear for their undefeated record when they face unranked Georgia Tech in Atlanta on Thursday.

Georgia Tech head coach Paul Johnson is undefeated at Georgia Tech when playing a ranked opponent at home while his Yellow Jackets are unranked. Georgia Tech is 5-0 in such games, including an upset of No. 5 Clemson five years ago.

There are a lot of little factoids seemingly going Georgia Tech's way in this game. The Yellow Jackets are the last team to have beaten Clemson in the regular season, where they picked up a 28-6 win at home. Clemson also hasn't beaten Georgia Tech in Atlanta since 2003.

Add all of that on top of Georgia Tech's difficult to prepare for option-attack on a Thursday night, and you have a game that seems right for an upset.

Clemson is still a nine-point favorite in most books, and there is a good reason why: the Tigers nearly won a national title in 2015, while the Yellow Jackets are looking to rebuild after their first losing season in 20 years. And, of course, in terms of talent, Clemson comes out well ahead over their ACC rival.

The two kickoff on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN.
