One NFL mock has Deshaun Watson falling ridiculously far in the Draft

Deshaun Watson is an interesting draft prospect in many ways but this mock has an outlandish take.

Deshaun Watson is a polarizing NFL Draft prospect in many ways, to the point that his immense college production and pedigree haven't fully translated to the former Clemson star being the no-doubt choice as the first quarterback selected. However, one recent mock draft took things to an entirely different level, with Bucky Brooks of NFL.com pegging Watson to endure a massive slide to the No. 23 overall selection.

Here is what Brooks had to say while projecting Watson to the New York Giants:

Ben McAdoo's quick-rhythm passing game is ideally suited to Watson's game. With Eli Manning still a few years away from calling it quits, the Giants could patiently develop the Clemson standout until he is ready for the lead role.

This doesn't make a ton of sense on a number of levels. Watson trailing UNC's Mitch Trubisky, who lands at No. 17 overall to Washington, isn't outrageous by any means but no quarterback falling inside the top 15 seems (quite) far-fetched with needs at the position across the NFL.

Beyond that, the Giants using a first-round pick on a quarterback also seems a bit strange given the relative youth of Eli Manning and big-time needs elsewhere. Needless to say, this theoretical partnership seems pretty unlikely but crazier things may have taken place in the past so anything is possible.
