Sheridan Jones is not a name most people are familiar with in recruiting yet because he was originally a member of the 2020 class. However, he just reclassified and is now a member of the 2019 class, making him a junior. He just recently took a visit to Clemson last Saturday.
He came away pretty impressed and even put the Tigers with his top group of schools.
“It was really great,” Jones told 247Sports. “I really enjoyed myself. Clemson is now definitely one of my top schools after that experience.”
The 6-foot, 165-pound Virginia Beach native is ranked as the No. 7 player at his position and No. 3 player in the state according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. He also has offers from Ohio State, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State and Georgia among others.
Jones has yet to release a top list of schools, but he did attend games at Alabama, LSU and Penn State last season and he heads to Tennessee in a couple of weeks. He plans on whittling down his list in late spring or early summer.
