The 15th annual Football Writers Association of America Freshman All-America Team features two Tigers mixed in with the many SEC players on the list. Defensive tackle Christian Wilkins and offensive Mitch Hyatt made the list. Hyatt had a phenomenal season that featured one of the highest grades for a freshman offensive lineman in Clemson history.

Wilkins had a memorable play in the ACC Championship game where he caught a huge first down pass on a fake punt. He also had 4.5 tackles for loss, 33 total tackles, and two sacks to go with a forced fumble. Both will be huge pieces of the puzzle next year for Clemson and making this list recognizes their huge contributions this season.
