Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson has been recognized as a pretty great quarterback this season and became the only Division-I quarterback to record a season where he threw for 4,000 yards and ran for 1,000. He was a Heisman finalist and he won the Davey O'Brien trophy —- an award for great QBs —- and now he's been named a winner of the Archie Griffin Award.

he honor is presented each year to the Most Valuable Player of College Football by the Touchdown Club of Columbus, Ohio. The award is named after the former Ohio State running back who is still the only two-time winner of the Heisman Trophy. Watson will receive his award at the 61st Touchdown Club of Columbus Awards on Saturday, February 6 in Columbus, Ohio.
This particular award takes into consideration bowl games as well as the regular season, which is definitely the reason he won it. He had a record for total yards and passing yards in a national championship game, surpassing Vince Young and Matt Leinart, respectively.
