Dabo Swinney was at the groundbreaking ceremony for the new football facility and he told everyone there a nice little story. It was about the time he went to Terry Don Phillips' office after the 2010 South Carolina game —- that Clemson lost 29-7 —- and he thought for sure he was going to get fired on the spot.
However, this isn't a depressing story as he is obviously still the coach. Swinney tells us that it was actually at that moment that Phillips gave him the ultimate vote of confidence and knew that he was the right man for the job. Take a listen for yourself in the video above.
