Dent spoke with Rivals about his decision to commit to Florida State:
"I just committed to Florida State," Dent told Scout. "It's the spot. I have family up here and all that, and I know I'm going to go to the league. Knowing me, I'm going to get myself a spot."
"It's just that spot to be in and everything is just cool vibes. We click and all of us get along."
At 6'0", 170 lbs, Dent can move all over the field and could see time at both corner and safety for the Noles.
Dent is the No. 5 overall recruit in the class of 2019.
