Florida State is still in the middle of the most brutal stretch of conference play anyone will see this year. The Seminoles took one loss to a good UNC team, but has beaten the likes of Virginia Tech, Duke, Virginia and now Notre Dame. However, the 83-80 win didn't come like most others might. It also put them at 17-2 for the season with a 5-2 conference record.

The Seminoles shot fairly well overall, hitting exactly half their shots. However, Notre Dame hit 71 percent of its three-point shots and that's usually a recipe for disaster if you're on the other side of that number. However, the Noles found a way to win by getting the free throw line 23 times against Notre Dame's 15 attempts. In fact, FSU made more free throws (16) than the Fighting Irish even attempted.

That proved to be the difference in the three-point game and puts FSU in great shape heading into the game against Louisville at home on Saturday.
