Florida State's school president fires back at Marco Rubio for his anti-FSU comments

Marco Rubio recently said Florida State is for "students who can't get into Florida."

Presidential candidate Marco Rubio recently took a shot at Florida State University when he said that it's the "school that is for students who can't get into Florida" in a recent radio interview with a station in Iowa. Rubio is a graduate of both the University of Florida and the University of Miami Florida State's school president, John Thrasher gave a response to Rubio's comments on Tuesday. Thrasher previously served in Rubio's legislature.

"He's a nice kid," said Thrasher via the Tallahassee Democrat. "I'm sure he's frustrated by his low standing in the polls, which I believe could be a reflection of where he got his education."
