Former four-star CB transferring out of Florida State

He will be missed.

Jimbo Fisher was at ACC Media Days on Thursday and decided it was the right time to break some news of his own rather than let anyone do it. He informed the media present that former four-star cornerback Marcus Lewis will be transferring out of the program.

Lewis started five games for the Seminoles last season before a hip injury led to some sporadic play and ultimately a benching. With the return of Derwin James from injury, it seemed Lewis wanted a fresh start elsewhere and it remains to be seen where that will be.

Lewis was rated as a four-star CB in the class of 2015 and was the No. 9 player at his position according to ESPN. The D.C. native finished the season with an interception, 21 total tackles and one tackle for loss. Wherever he transfers to he will have to sit out a year per NCAA transfer rules.
