That's not what the Noles were hoping to hear.

Florida State just got some bad news regarding junior defensive end Lorenzo Featherston. He is in the process of becoming medically disqualified because of a serious knee injury. He was not a major factor during the 2015 season or in the spring because of his knee.

This could really hurt the depth at the defensive end position as senior DeMarcus Walker and sophomore Josh Sweat are now the only two guys returning at the position. The Noles will have to use linebackers Jacob Pugh and Matthew Thomas to help fill the edge rushing void. FSU also has five-star recruit Brian Burns and Janarius Robinson coming on campus who could potentially contribute right away as well.

Featherston, at 6'7" and 218 pounds, appeared sparingly in four games in 2015 due to injuries, including arthroscopic knee surgery to begin the season.
