Florida State is not exactly known as a basketball powerhouse, but has done well in recent years. The Seminoles won the ACC Tournament in 2012 and have been their most successful under coach Leonard Hamilton. Part of that is his ability to recruit and he landed another solid prospect in Mfiondu Kabengele. He is the nephew of NBA Hall of Famer Dikembe Mutombo.

Kabengele hails from Ontario, Canada and is rated as a three-star recruit. The 6'9", 235-pound forward might not contribute right away, but he should attract a nice crowd once word gets around who might be showing up to his games. Kabengele also had offers from Boston College, Georgia and St. Bonaventure among others.
