FSU quarterback Sean Maguire held out of practice, could be facing serious injury

That will likely delay the starter decision for Jimbo Fisher.

Florida State is gearing up for its first game of the 2016 season against Ole Miss in Orlando and practices have officially started. However, coach Jimbo Fisher still doesn't have a starter at quarterback for the opener. That problem might have been compounded with the fact that last year's starter in Sean Maguire has been seen at practice in a boot and not taking snaps.

Maguire's ankle was perfectly fine at the beginning of the week as Fisher said that he was fully healthy and was expected to practice this week. However, if Maguire has a boot on his foot and is being carted around everywhere then this injury might be pretty serious. It could open the door for redshirt freshman Deondre Francois to gain some steam in the QB battle.

Maguire finished last season with 1,520 passing yards to go with 11 touchdowns and six interceptions.
