Florida State wanted to cap off a 10-3 2015 season with some "stylish" rings. The Seminoles bought players and staff "State Championship" rings commemorating wins over USF, Florida and Miami, which is a pretty rare feat.

Whoever designed the rings though decided it would be a good idea to put the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl logo on there as well. That would have been a good idea if the Seminoles had actually beaten Houston in that game. Instead, the Cougars won 38-24 and should have been the ones celebrating with rings.

Naturally, FSU alum and ESPN talking head Danny Kanell had some issues with this and he'll probably have more once he realizes how much his alma mater paid for the rings. The athletic department spent $234 for each of the 265 rings bought, totally a staggering $62,010. That wasn't it as the school also purchased 64 pendants at $175 making the total sum of the purchase $73,210.
That seems like a lot of money to celebrate beating three inferior in-state foes and losing a bowl game. But that's just me.
