FSU to celebrate one of its greatest Hall of Famers against Clemson

Perfect timing on this one!

Former Florida State linebacker Derrick Brooks is set to be inducted into the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame this season. It was just announced when his On-Campus Salute would take place and of course it's against none other than hated rival Clemson.

Brooks played his entire 14-year career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and recorded 25 interceptions and even had seven defensive touchdowns while also recording 1,297 tackles over the course of his career. The NCAA didn't start keeping regular stats until after Brooks played in college so those stats aren't available, but they're probably equally impressive.

Brooks' son DeCalon just committed to the Noles and now will get to see his dad accept a plaque recognizing his admission into the NFF Hall of Fame that will be displayed at FSU forever and always. Brooks currently serves as an analyst for ESPN and is co-host of The Red Zone on Sirius NFL Radio.
