Former FSU star and national champion begs school to keep Jimbo Fisher amid rumors he might leave

This can't be a good sign.

Florida State fans likely have some fond memories of former running back James Wilder Jr. as he helped the team win the last BCS National Championship ever played. However, now he's begging for the school to keep Jimbo Fisher around amid reports that he could be on his way out. He used some strong language in his plea, but you probably get the idea:

Wilder believes that the team would be terrible and for years at that if they got rid of Fisher. He has been able to recruit rather well, especially in the state. He's stolen quite a few recruits from the likes of Miami and Florida every year and has kept the Seminoles in contention for ACC titles since he took the job in 2010.

Wilder Jr. recorded 1,363 rushing yards, 20 rushing touchdowns, 182 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns during his time in Tallahassee. He was also named All-ACC Honorable Mention in 2013 after he averaged seven yards a carry.
