Jimbo Fisher was hanging out with some folks at the Tallahassee Quarterback Club in Florida's capital city Tuesday evening. He addressed the crowd that was there to hear him give his thoughts and updates on the Florida State Seminoles.
While it isn't a tangible quality, Fisher says that this year's team possesses a great deal of leadership and having strong practices aren't generally an issue. That's something that he definitely enjoys watching:
Florida State opens up against Ole Miss in Orlando on Labor Day so it won't be a cakewalk to start the season for sure. Fisher talked about a few of his defensive ends and he's been impressed with them so far in fall camp.
If you're looking for incredible feats of strength from defensive players, he's got that too.

Safety Derwin James has been getting a lot of hype this offseason as one of the better secondary players in the country and Fisher is here to let everyone know that it is totally warranted.
And there's another guy who could be thrown back in the secondary if needed thanks to his freak athleticism.
Of course, no Fisher podium talk would be complete without talk of running back Dalvin Cook. We all know he's good, but there's no amount of money Fisher would give up to trade this guy for any reason.

So Cook is going to be as scary as we all thought and maybe even more so. But the most talked about part of the offense has to be the quarterback position since Sean Maguire is going to be out for a few weeks. Backup QB Deondre Francois will start the first week of the season at least and could end up with more starts under his belt. So naturally, Fisher had to talk about what he expects from the young man.
So expect Francois to be unleashed in full to start the season. If that doesn't get you fired up for the season there are few things that will.
