5-star QB Justin Fields currently has one team maintaining a lead for his commitment

Fields is the No. 1 overall recruit in the nation.

Five-star quarterback Justin Fields (6-foot-3, 221 pounds, Kennesaw, Ga.) has been the buzz of the college football recruiting world in recent months. Fields decommitted from Penn State back in June, and he has since been awarded the No. 1 overall recruit spot in the 247Sports player rankings.

Several teams are still vying for Fields' commitment, including Georgia and Auburn. However, Florida State has been the trendy pick for Fields since he decommitted, and the Seminoles are currently maintaining a lead in the 247Sports Crystal Ball with over half of the predictions.

Florida State's biggest challenger for Fields might be the home-state Bulldogs, as Georgia has started to gain a bit of momentum in his recruitment. ESPN recently predicted that Fields would land in Athens, as the Bulldogs currently place second in the 247Sports Crystal Ball.

Fields has previously said that he plans to take a few official visits before eventually making his decision. Florida State, Auburn, and Georgia are still the teams that he mentions the most in his recruitment.
