Florida State finally getting back key defender ahead of huge Alabama game

Some great news for the team.

Florida State has been without senior linebacker Matthew Thomas for a lot of the preseason for various reasons it seems. At first it was just an illness, but Tomahawk Nation was reporting that it was something else undisclosed. Regardless of what it was, he is back now according to coach Jimbo Fisher.

Thomas was one of the defense's best players last season recording 77 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss, a sack and a forced fumble. He's expected to be one of the leaders in that unit along with dark horse Heisman contender Derwin James.
