This running back believes he's the best in all of college football and his name isn't Fournette

Is he sure about this?

Most people —- even the non-SEC fans —- can agree that LSU's Leonard Fournette is probably going to be the best running back in college football this season. There are a few people out there though that  disagree and think there might be a couple other guys who will have better years.

It's reasonable to think that guys like Christian McCaffrey (Stanford) and Dalvin Cook (Florida State) will have outstanding years and a lot of draft analysts think this year's juniors might be the best class of running backs of all-time. There are certainly quite a few good backs out there, but at the ACC media Kickoff event, Cook got to feeling a little too bold.

Cook was asked Friday during an interview with ESPNU at the media event to name the player he considers the top RB in college football.

"I am," Cook said. "I'm confident I am."

Cook said that he frequently played hurt last season and he even missed the game against Syracuse. He still managed to set a single-season school record for all-purpose yards with 1,935. With better health in 2016, Cook might just make his claim come true.
