Another big move by Taggart.

It appears that Willie Taggart has succeeded in bringing another one of his staffers over from Oregon.

According to 247Sports, Taggart is expected to hire Oregon assistant AD of football recruiting operations David Kelly to the staff. Kelly — whose position essentially equates to a recruiting coordinator — is expected to perform the same duties at Florida State.

Football Scoop first reported the news.

Kelly's past coaching stops include Georgia Tech, Stanford, Duke, and Central Florida.

While new head coach often bring in members of their past staffs, this should be seen as a big move for Taggart at Florida State. Recruiting is obviously one of the most vital pieces in college football, and if Taggart is trusting Kelly with that position at Florida State... then that means a lot.

Even with some decommits after Taggart's departure, Oregon still ranks 15th in the nation in recruit at 247Sports. Florida State is currently 33rd in the nation.

Taggart is taking over after former head coach Jimbo Fisher left for the Texas A&M job and their $75 million contract. Taggart is 47-50 in his career as a head coach, with stops at Western Kentucky, South Florida, and Oregon.
