Two Florida State players not listed on official roster

Head coach Jimbo Fisher will speak at ACC Kickoff on Friday from Charlotte, N.C.

Florida State's official roster for 2016 was released on Tuesday, and a pair of defensive ends were missing from it. According to 247Sports, both redshirt senior Chris Casher and junior Lorenzo Featherston were both left off the roster. Featherston fought through injuries for the majority of injuries last season, appearing in just four games. He was reportedly in the process of becoming medically ineligible in April.

Casher was recruited to Florida State as a five-star defensive end, but was moved to tight end during the offseason. He played in eight games during last year, while missing some time due to injury. There will likely be some clarification on both of these guys come head coach Jimbo Fisher's time to speak at ACC Kickoff, which will be on Friday from Charlotte, N.C.

We'll continue to update this story as it develops.
