Former five-star DT making another questionable decision with latest announcement

This doesn't sound good.

The collegiate career of Gerald Willis has gone in a lot of different directions, and it's not stopping now as Sports Illustrated's Bruce Feldman is reporting that the former five-star DL is taking a leave of absence from Miami and will miss all of the 2017 college football season.

Feldman reported the gigantic update Thursday afternoon via his personal Twitter account.

Willis has had a tumultuous college career to this point. At Florida, after Will Muschamp's firing, the former Gator coach said he would have kicked Willis off the team after Willis pushed former Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston in the face.

He's also punched a backup quarterback in the face while at Florida, flicked off FSU via his personal Twitter account, and was suspended for the Hurricanes' bowl game against West Virginia last year.

Willis taking a leave of absence certainly doesn't appear to be a good sign for the former five-star recruit's career at Miami, but more information is sure to come out sooner rather than later.
