Pat McAfee strips down for 'College GameDay' dive

Pat McAfee is a unique person, which he proved once again during Saturday morning's episode of "College GameDay." He stripped down before going for a dive at the University of Miami.

The former NFL punter-turned-broadcaster started a picks segment at the famous "College GameDay" desk. However, he jumped up and began working his way off of the set while his co-hosts sat and watched. He made his way through the crowd and over to a massive swimming pool while the Miami mascot followed.

McAfee climbed to the top of the high dive while wearing a blazer, suit pants, dress shoes, and a button down shirt. He did not keep his clothes on. The ESPN host took off everything except for the Nike swim briefs.

"If you come to this campus, you will notice quickly that the students here love this university," McAfee said. "They love this atmosphere, and I'm with everybody. I think the U is back!"

With the message delivered, he gave away the microphone and jumped off the high dive platform. He showed off solid form overall as he kept his feet together and put his hands to the sides of his legs.

Once McAfee surfaced, he put his hands together to form the "U" symbol that the players and fans make to show their support for the University of Miami.

This did not fully happen off the cuff. McAfee pointed to the high dive earlier in the segment and said that it had been staring at him all morning. He revealed that the platform put divers 33 feet in the air, something he learned while doing his research.

This trip to Miami is far from the only time that McAfee has jumped into the water while filming an episode of "College GameDay." He also did so during a trip to Knoxville, Tennessee, in 2022. He put on orange and white overalls and attempted a backflip off a boat packed with Volunteers fans.
