After a 42-36 loss to Clemson on Saturday, Louisville has been booted out of the College Football Playoff in ESPN latest bowl projections.

If it is any consolation to the Cardinals, they weren't the only team knocked out.
ESPN's bowl projections last week had Alabama, Michigan, Ohio State, and Louisville for Mark Schlabach, and Alabama, Louisville, Stanford, and Ohio State for Brett McMurphy. Thanks to the losses by Louisville and Stanford, the two teams have been replaced by the squads they were defeated by; Clemson is now in both projections, while Washington replaces Stanford in McMurphy's.
Both ESPN analysts have Alabama and Ohio State meeting in the championship game.

The interesting part here is that Schlabach is sticking with two Big Ten teams getting into the Playoff, with Ohio State being the higher ranked of the two. With Michigan State and Iowa struggling right now, Michigan would need some big help to get into the Playoff if they do lose to Ohio State.
