The Miami Hurricanes have not been having the greatest of offseasons despite their lofty recruiting rankings right now. They lost quarterback Brad Kaaya to the NFL Draft and have had a difficult time trying to replace him. There are no definite standouts at the position right now, but redshirt freshman Jack Allison had a chance to take over the starting role until he suffered an AC sprain and concussion. It seems the hit he suffered in the scrimmage might have knocked him off campus as well.

Since Allison redshirted last season he did not record any stats and will have to sit out a year and then get two more years of eligibility wherever he decides to transfer as the school has announced he will do.
"Jack approached me and indicated that he felt like he would have more opportunities for playing time at another program," Hurricanes coach Mark Richt said in a statement released by the school. "We wish him all the best in his future plans."
The Canes will have plenty of options to replace Allison though as Malik Rosier, Vincent Testaverde (yes, that one) and Evan Shirrefs will be fighting for the starting spot.
