Alabama has set the tone early against Clemson in the National Championship game, and plenty of that has to do with the Tide's stout defense.
One play specifically helped put the Tigers in their place, as 319-pound defensive tackle Da'Ron Payne ran right over Clemson center Jay Guillermo.
Alabama holds a 14-7 lead at halftime.
