Alabama QB Jalen Milroe Makes Waves After Pic With Michael Jordan

Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe and several teammates paid a visit to Talladega Superspeedway for the Geico 500 NASCAR Cup Series on Sunday — and Milroe was spotted posing alongside the man behind the Nike Jumpman logman.

That, of course, would be none other than Michael Jordan. A picture of Milrioe and Jordan was posted by Milroe on his Instagram account and sent out on X by YouTuber Kyle Henderson.

Per Creg Stephenson of AL.com:

"Milroe was joined in the pits for Sunday's race by Alabama teammates DeVonta Smith, Jihaad Campbell and Malachi Moore. They got an up-close view of all the action, as captured by Fox 54 Huntsville sportscaster Simon Williams."

Jordan, by the way, won six championships with the Chicago Bulls and is known widely as perhaps the greatest basketball player of all time. He just recently sold his majority ownership stake in the Charlotte Hornets.

Jordan is also fairing well in the NASCAR field.

"Jordan's team took part in the Geico 500. It's an annual NASCAR racing event that draws massive crowds," relayed Ishran Misra of FirstSportz. "23XI racer Tyler Reddick bagged this year's edition. He stole the win under the noses of two close competitors, Brad Keselowski and Michael McDowell."

No less than MJ himself spoke about the victory.

"For us to win a big race like this, it means so much to me for the effort that the team has [put in]," he told reporters. "I love it. It replaces a lot of the competitiveness that I had in basketball. This is even worse because I have no control."

It's definitely a significant transition for Milroe and the entire Alabama team with Nick Saban retiring from coaching. Kalen DeBoer stepping in, especially with his track record of success at Washington, brings a new energy and perspective to the program. Milroe should benefit from DeBoer's coaching style, especially if there are similarities between him and Michael Penix Jr. It'll be interesting to see how the Crimson Tide adapts to the change and continues to perform at a high level under DeBoer's leadership.
