The 6'2", 272-pound four-star defensive tackle Alim McNeil has trimmed his list from ten schools to six via his personal Twitter account Thursday evening.
The list now includes five ACC programs and one Big 10 school: North Carolina, Duke, Virginia Tech, Penn State, NC State, and the Florida State Seminoles.
Last month, McNeil revealed his top 10 list that included South Carolina, Michigan, Louisville and Clemson, too. So those big-time programs look like they've been eliminated from McNeils' consideration.
McNeil, according to 247sports Crystal Ball predictions, could still end up in a number of McNeil's final six, with Virginia Tech, North Carolina and Duke all owning a solid percentage chance at landing the gigantic defensive lineman in North Carolina.
McNeil is the No. 20 overall DT in the class of 2018 and No. 10 in the state of North Carolina.
