They didn't get the big win this week, but it looks like they finally got it in the rankings.
Penn State upset then No. 2 Ohio State a couple of weeks ago, which helped earn them a spot in the polls. However, it looks like national opinion of the Nittany Lions is starting to turn even more in their favor, as Penn State surged nine spots to No. 14 in the newest edition of the Coaches Poll after a 41-14 win over Iowa this week.
As expected, Alabama is still the No. 1 team in the poll, but Clemson still has a hold on two-first place votes. Also interesting is that Clemson jumped Michigan in the rankings this week, even though both won via big blowouts in Week 10.
