Analytics-based website's CFB preseason top-25 is wildly different from the norm

Alabama reigns supreme, while chaos occurs in the background.

Throughout the spring heading into summer, Alabama and Clemson have reigned as the top two squads pretty consistently.

For the analytics-based crew at Pro Football Focus, Alabama stays at the top, but surprisingly it's Clemson that drops below both Oklahoma (No. 2) and LSU (No. 3).

Here's the top-10:

1. Alabama
2. Oklahoma
3. LSU
4. Clemson
5. Michigan
6. Florida State
7. Stanford
8. Ohio State
9. Tennessee
10. Ole Miss

Other notables:

11. Notre Dame
21. Oregon
22. Auburn
24. Texas A&M

No Georgia on here? That's a shocker considering Auburn is on the top 25 here. Ole Miss all the way in the top 10? That's a bit high for me.

We'll see how this one pans out in just a few short months.
