Baylor has had several issues with its football program and sexual assault cases over the past few years, and it looks like another could be on the horizon.

The Waco-Tribune reported on Thursday that a "a prominent player from Baylor University's 2015 football team" was under investigation after an alleged sexual assault from the previous Sunday. Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle later reported that the player in question is star defensive lineman Shawn Oakman.

Two Baylor players have already faced sexual assault trials in the past couple of years. The first was Tevin Elliott, who was convicted in 2014 and was the impetus for a Title IX lawsuit filed against Baylor a few weeks ago. The second case was of Sam Ukwuachu, who was convicted of a sexual assault charge in the summer of 2015.

Oakman is currently rated as a fourth or fifth round draft pick after spending three seasons at Baylor. Oakman tallied 34 tackles for loss and 15.5 sacks in his last two seasons with the Bears, which is when he really emerged in the public eye as a versatile 6-foor-8, 270 pound defender.

So far, the police have only been conducting an investigation. No arrest has been made and no charges have been filed against Oakman.
