Dan Mullen has consistently won at Mississippi State throughout his eight-year tenure, and he could be ready to make a jump to the NFL soon.

During a radio interview on WGFX-FM in Nashville, Mullen indicated he'd at least consider coaching in the NFL if the opportunity arose.
"I think I would," Mullen said, according to ESPN's Paul Kuharsky. "I don't know when a time would be...I have not spoken to anybody in the NFL this year."
Mullen is 61-42 at Mississippi State, which is historically one of the hardest places to win in the SEC. Several of the openings in the NFL have already been filled, but a few jobs still remain available. Mullen was linked to the Oregon job in November, but he is reportedly working on a contract extension to remain in Starkville now.
Mullen might garner some attention from NFL teams after Dak Prescott's success with the Dallas Cowboys this season. Prescott was certainly NFL-ready after college, and some of his development can be attributed to Mullen's coaching.
