A favorite has reportedly emerged for five-star DB Anthony Cook @_ACook21/Twitter

Five-star defensive back Anthony Cook (6-foot-0, 170 pounds, Houston, TX) released his Top 10 a month ago, but it looks like one of those 10 schools is firmly in the lead.

According to Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports, Ohio State is has distanced themselves from the pack for Cook, and Wiltfong projects that Cook will eventually commit to the Buckeyes. Wiltfong is not along, as the majority of the predictions for Cook at 247Sports have Ohio State as the destination.

The other members of Cook’s Top 10: Florida State, Notre Dame, Clemson, Florida, USC, LSU, Baylor, Georgia and Texas. Of those 10, it looks like home-state Texas is the current runner-up to Ohio State.

Cook is rated as a five-star recruit by 247, Scout, and Rivals. All services have him rated as one of, if not the top cornerback in the country for the 2018 class.
