Apple fired shots at Arkansas, North Carolina State during new product launch

Apple CEO throws shade at his alma maters' football rivals.

What seemed like an incidental case of worlds (the computer geeks and the jocks) colliding at Apple's launch event Thursday was really just a slick, little ploy drummed up by company CEO Tim Cooke, it turns out.

You see, Cooke is a Duke and Auburn alum, so when game footage of Arkansas' 56-3 loss to Auburn, and NC State's 54-13 loss to Louisville flashed across a presenter's screen during the event, Cooke was really trolling some rival teams in his alma mater's conferences. It was both witty and brash at the same time, although we have no idea what his actual reasoning could be for using college football footage in a MacBook Pro presentation.

As sly and funny as may have been though, Duke is still 3-4 and in last place in the ACC Coastal, while Auburn is 5-2 and in third in the SEC West.
