During Arizona State's quarter-final college football playoff game on New Years Day, star running back Cam Skattebo put the team on his back, as he rushed for 143 yards and scored two touchdowns in a 39-31 2OT loss to Texas.

To note, Skattebo became the first player in 26 years to win an Offensive MVP award while being on the losing team of the Peach Bowl.
Despite his performance, after the loss an upset fan took some shots at Skattebo, while claiming that the star player was out drinking the night before the big game.
In what appeared to be a picture posted of Skattebo at a bar, one user on X wrote: "Checks out - Cam was out late last night in classic ASU fashion. This is why we aren't a football school."
Skattebo defended himself by responding to the tweet, that has since been deleted.
"Dudes a clown, that was at 830 pm and I was with family," Skattebo said. "Yes they were drinking alcohol, and if you knew anything about me you know I don't drink. But I'm sure you posted this because you couldn't get a picture or autograph. Man, some people just want the clout and it's sickening."

Even Arizona State head coach Kenny Dillingham refuted the X user's comments, by sticking up for his player.
"Cam missed 0 bed checks or meetings in his career. Also had 0 off the field issues! The only issue I ever had was him not coming in the locker room after games bc he was signing autographs for kids on the field after the game, and I feel like that's a good reason."

This is an awful look and awful post Neil. You’ve been called out by Cam and Coach now. You may want to publicly apologize. Wow.
