All signs are pointing to the end of the Charlie Strong era this weekend

Looks like Texas is about to get a definitive answer on Strong.

Charlie Strong has been on the hot seat pretty much since he was hired in 2014 by Texas and the road has not been an easy one. He hasn't had more than a six-win season in his three seasons and it looks like he won't even get the chance to be mediocre this season according to Football Scoop.

The Longhorns are 3-4 and have a game against undefeated Baylor this weekend. It's believed that Strong would need eight wins this year to keep his job relatively safe, but it looks like the math has already been calculated by some according to Mike Finger of the San Antonio Express-News:

Friday, the Longhorn Foundation will conduct a meeting of its advisory council, and later that day, UT's developmental board will gather. Both events were scheduled months in advance, but the result is that most of the Longhorns' biggest boosters and most powerful alumni will be at Royal-Memorial Stadium on Saturday.

"There will be more heavy hitters (at the Baylor game) than at any game this year," the donor said.

The Longhorns are likely to put on a show for that audience and Strong's teams generally play well against Baylor with last year's team winning in Waco 23-17. An interesting fact to note is that since 1950, every coach who was fired lost to Baylor in their last season with the Longhorns.
