Former five-star recruit to take visit to Kansas

Malik Newman already had Kansas on his radar when he announced he would transfer out of Mississippi State. It looks like he’s following through and doing his due diligence as he will take a visit there early in the coming week.

Newman visited Oregon this past weekend and will likely make his decision fairly soon after the Kansas visit as he does need to enroll in classes for the fall. Newman will have to sit out a year per NCAA transfer rules before he can play in the 2017-18 season. Newman averaged 11.3 points, 2.2 assists and 2.8 rebounds per game as a freshman last season.
